Detached house c1875, now converted into flats with a number of large extensions and alterations c2002. Two and three storey red brick, hipped and gabled extensions added plus single storey flat roofed extensions between road front and boundary wall to Lenton Avenue. Large part of original garden area converted into car park with enlarged opening in brick boundary wall to Cavendish Road West. Character and distinctiveness of original house adversely affected by over intensive conversion and extension work. Two storeys plus basement and attics to original house. Red brick with stone dressings and hipped and gabled roof with plain tiles. Rectangular window bays to original facade overlooking garden. Flat roofed, canted window bay at ground floor level on left hand side with shaped gabled dormer above at attic level. Flat lead covered roof to two storey right hand bay. Decorative and moulded brick detailing to gable pediments, eaves string courses and door and window surrounds. Semicircular and segmental brick arched heads to original openings, replicated on a number of openings to later extensions. Part of original facing brickwork now rendered and painted. Stone dressings to gabled dormers, string courses plus sills to a number of openings. Hipped and gabled roof to original house with shaped gabled dormers. Similar arrangement of gabled roofs on later extensions. Original house reroofed with plain tiles and decorative ridges tiles to match roof coverings on later extensions. Red brick chimney stacks with brick relief patterning, corbelled heads and a number of replacement pots. Dormer window added. Original rainwater fitting replaced and further pipework added. Plain sash windows generally. A number of original openings have been altered by later extension building. Sections of original brick and stone boundary wall and gated openings to Lenton Avenue survive, although partly rendered. Other parts replaced by later extension building.
