Detached house c1875, possibly by builder James Wright. Part of house converted into separate flat. Two storeys plus basement and attic. Red brick with ashlar dressings and gabled plain tile roof. Original yard, stable and carriage buildings at lower end of garden adjacent to Lenton Road now altered and extended as separate residential development c1970-80. Flat roofed garage building added, early 20c, on road front replacing earlier outbuildings. Tudor arched doorway to detached entrance porch on road front with gabled and hipped plain tile roof. Later adjacent doorway. Other alterations and additions on road front facade include enlarged window openings, later window openings plus glazed porch with lean-to roof over central doorway. Single storey canted and rectangular window bays on garden front with lean-to canopy across facade at first floor level. Glazed link between entrance porch on road front and main house. Decorative brick band at first floor level with combination of plinth and string courses plus dentils. Also, stepped brickwork in shallow relief at gable verges behind timber bargeboards. Ashlar surrounds to a number of door and window openings, also separate lintels and sills plus copings and finials. Much of the stonework remains unpainted. Plain tile roof with gables and timber bargeboards to all facades. Red brick chimney stacks with string courses, dentils and corbelled caps. Some stacks altered or partly removed. Original rainwater fittings replaced and further pipework added. Cross windows with glazing bar casements to a number of original openings plus replacements, alterations or additions. Panelled porch entrance door on road front with Tudor arched head. Surviving section of original red brick boundary wall adjacent to Cavendish Crescent South with plinth and later copings. Later central gate opening. Part of original wall altered or replaced with later addition of garage building.
